15 Days of Hope: Day Nine

Meet: "Thomas"

“Thomas has had some complex behaviors and was having multiple tantrums a day, screaming, crying, throwing things, and not listening. He would scream until he got want he wanted and even say things like “I don’t care if you take that toy away. I’ll just get a new one for my birthday or Christmas”.

Kids Uncomplicated coached our family to implement a reward system where we notice all the little things, with compliments and praise.

He has been working very hard to gain stickers and praise from us and has had little to no tantrums or resistance in the past 2 weeks. He even said to us, as we dropped him off at school “I’m gonna do something after school to earn another sticker mom!”. He is so proud of himself and we as a family have made a real effort to notice more good then “bad”. We’re very proud of our consistency as a family and the change we’ve seen with the support of KU!”
